Artist Statement

I am a visual artist working in sports photography and graphic design, examining how intensity becomes visible across both disciplines. My work centers on moments when effort, concentration, and pressure take physical form.
In sports photography, I focus on the moments where control and strain coexist, using timing and framing, along with proximity, to let energy register with clarity and intention. My graphic design practice operates through the same analytical lens: structure and typography establish spatial rhythm, guiding the viewer's attention, and visual organization constructs meaning in much the same way a well-timed photograph does.
Observation underlies everything. I study patterns of movement, balance, and tension, translating them into images and compositions that retain their force. Ultimately, I seek to make work that sustains attention, grounded in the belief that intensity can be shaped to endure beyond the instant it occurs.
